What is RNG?

RNG is Renewable Natural Gas (biomethane), an ultra-clean & ultra-low carbon natural gas alternative that is derived from biogas. As organic waste breaks down it emits methane (raw biogas) that can be processed to meet natural gas pipeline quality specifications. RNG is used to replace fossil fuels in any of the following applications: renewable heat, renewable electricity, or ultra-low carbon vehicle fuel.
